Several law enforcement agencies went to Republican U.S. Sen. Susan Collins’ private residence in Bangor to investigate what is being called a “suspicious letter.”
Bangor police Sgt. Wade Betters says his agency was contacted just after 1:30 p.m. by U.S. Capital Police. While he says he can’t provide any information about the nature of the letter, he says there’s no ongoing threat.
“We have no information to suggest that anybody in the public or public at large or anybody is in any danger,” he says.
