AUGUSTA, Maine - A global data firm aiming to predict the outcome of the U.S. Senate elections in a new study forgot to include incumbent Sen. Angus King when predicting for Maine.

Some snowmobilers and hunters in Maine are raising their voices against the high-voltage transmission line that Central Maine Power wants to string through western Maine in order to bring electricity to Massachusetts. The Maine Snowmobilers Association (MSA) is contending with dissent in its ranks, while the Sportsmen's Alliance of Maine is reconsidering its initial endorsement of the project.

Independent 1st Congressional District candidate Marty Grohman has asked multiple Maine agencies for a probe into Republican opponent Mark Holbrook, who Grohman claims is violating state law by calling himself a psychologist.

Members of the military and civilians working overseas can still vote in Maine elections, but must cast their ballots through the Secretary of State’s office. Based on the numbers of ballot requests, it appears that this year’s elections are drawing a lot of interest.
