A judge has denied part of a lawsuit filed by Islesboro residents regarding ferry service rate changes made by the Maine Department of Transportation earlier this year that increased ticket costs for residents.

BLUE HILL, Maine - Police in Maine say they have identified a body found in Blue Hill as a 37-year-old woman who went missing during the summer.
The State Medical Examiner's Office used dental records to identify the body as Jessica Grindle, of Blue Hill, on Thursday night. Police say additional work is still needed to determine how Grindle died.
Grindle's body was found by a deer hunter on Wednesday. Searches had taken place in the area since she was reported missing in early August.

As state election officials begin gathering ballots for a ranked-choice voting count in Maine's 2nd Congressional District race, Republican Rep. Bruce Poliquin's campaign released a statement asserting that he won the first round. Poliquin's statement increases speculation that the incumbent will challenge the constitutionality of Maine's ranked-choice voting law if he loses the election to Democrat Jared Golden in the runoff tabulation.

More than 300 people gathered in Portland Thursday night at one of several rallies across Maine to demand Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election be allowed to continue, according to organizers and multiple media reports.
