LEWISTON, Maine — Police moved quickly to make an arrest in a weekend convenience store robbery in Lewiston.
Police say 31-year-old Jacob Koch of Lewiston was arrested in connection with the robbery at Lewiston Variety at about 9 p.m. Sunday. He's charged with robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Police tell the Sun Journal he walked into the store, pointed a gun at the clerk, demanded money and fled in a vehicle. He was located a short time later and most of the money has been recovered along with a .22-caliber semi-automatic handgun.
It's not clear if Koch has a lawyer.
The same store was robbed in April. A Livermore Falls man was arrested in that case.
