Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) has named Peter Wright as the new president of Rumford and Bridgton Hospitals.
The hospitals' former president resignedlast summer after the Central Maine Healthcare Board affirmed its support of CEO Jeff Brickman, who hadreceived no-confidence votes from medical staff.
CMH Executive Vice President David Tupponce says Wright will build a strong culture and improve communication.
"I think that the role that Peter's going to play in the communities of Bridgton and Rumford is helping to convey that the strength of those communities really is in our ability to work together," says Tupponce.
Wright was most recently CEO of New Hampshire hospital Valley Regional Healthcare.
