Pot In Short Supply In Canada After Legalization

TORONTO - Canada became the world's largest national marketplace for recreational marijuana Oct. 17, but things have gotten off to a bumpy start. The first weeks have felt more like a soft opening, with few retail outlets operating and rampant supply shortages. In Quebec, government-run shops closed for three days this week because there was no pot to sell. The Canadian government is taking steps to speed the process, adding 300 people to more quickly process licenses for producers.
