Westbrook Woman Found Guilty of Child Sex Assault

PORTLAND, Maine — A Westbrook woman who'd been accused of allowing her boyfriend to sexually assault a teenage female relative has been convicted of four of the six counts she faced.

Holly Morrison was convicted Wednesday of one felony count of gross sexual assault and three misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child, but was cleared of two counts of gross sexual assault.

The 14-year-old victim testified at trial, as did the 34-year-old Morrison's boyfriend, who had previously pleaded guilty to related charges.

Morrison was allowed to remain free on $500 bail pending sentencing.

Authorities say Morrison watched her boyfriend assault the girl at least three times.

Morrison's attorney tells the Portland Press Herald that the conviction on the felony count was disappointing.
