Oxford Networks Expands Data Center

The largest data center in northern New England is now open at Brunswick Landing, the former Brunswick Naval Air Station. Oxford Networks says a more than $6 million expansion will allow the data center to better service the need of customers across the country to safeguard critical business information.

"Cyber security is critical to organizations, and we take cyber security very seriously, incorporating a multilevel approach to defending our data center," says Oxford Networks President and CEO Craig Gunderson. "All data passes through multiple checkpoints before reaching its destination."

Gunderson says the facility was was originally built for NATO, and previously used as a command and control center by the U.S. Navy for hunting submarines.
