Spectrum Outage Affects Maine And New Hampshire
Much of Maine and New Hampshire is without internet Friday afternoon.
Spectrum tweeted just before 4 that it was working to restore services as soon as possible.
We are aware of an issue that may be impacting services for customers in Maine at this time and apologize for the inconvenience. We are working to restore service as soon as possible and appreciate your patience.— Ask Spectrum (@Ask_Spectrum) February 7, 2020
In a statement to WGME TV, Spectrum's parent company Charter Communications said damage to the fiber optic network is affecting spectrum services, and that in Maine it's the result of severe weather. The statement says the damage in New Hampshire is affecting network redundancy.
