Camden Farmers’ Market will be opening for the season this coming Saturday, May 11th, 2019 from 9-noon at our Tannery Park location at 116 Washington Street. Despite some confusion, the market will not be moving this year, since the remediation project slotted for Tannery Park has been postponed. That means that there is still plenty of room for picnicking on Uproot Pie Co. pizza and breakfast bialys at the provided tables, or for walking the river trail.
The market is pleased to announce that ScrapDogs Community Compost has joined the Saturday membership, and will be providing information about composting services to the Camden area as well as finished compost and dog treats made from food waste. Otherwise, the membership remains the same. Expect to find delicious spring goods and Mothers’ Day gifts from market standbys like Oyster Creek Mushrooms, Hubbard Brook Farm, Atlantic Baking Company, and Commonwealth Farm; plenty of seedlings from Brae Maple Farm, Bahner Farm, and Peacemeal Farm; cheeses from Fuzzy Udder Creamery; bread from Brazen Baking; charcuterie from A Small Good; hot-off-the-presses maple syrup from Frontier Sugarworks; and the first of the season’s flowers from On the Mountain Farm.
Wednesday markets will begin in mid-June.
