Laurie Dorr's goal is to take in senior dogs who are in need of a forever home. The dogs come mainly from shelters where they have been housed for long periods of time. Some dogs belonged to someone who had a medical issue and could no longer care for the dog. Others are from senior or elderly citizens who unfortunately cannot bring them when moving to an assisted living facility. Laurie also promotes adoption of senior dogs. She currently has two of her own as well as ten seniors! She can’t imagine her life without at least one dog! Finally Home Senior Dog Rescue is in North Yarmouth.
