As part of its ongoing commitment to improving accessibility, Maine Maritime Museum is offering free admission to all weekend visitors in January, February, and March of 2023 thanks to the generous and continued support from Bath Savings. Weekend visitors can enjoy indoor tours of the historic Percy & Small shipyard which will be held at 1 pm on Saturdays. New exhibits on view include "Women Behind the Lens: The Photography of Emma D. Sewall, Josephine Ginn Banks, and Abbie F. Minott," and "Featured Finds" documenting ongoing research into the provenance, or earliest known history, of items in the museum’s collection. Beginning February 3, "SeaChange: Darkness and Light in the Gulf of Maine," in partnership with Gulf of Maine EcoArts, a site-specific art and ecology installation will also open to the public. Open year-round, the museum explores Maine’s rich maritime culture through permanent and rotating exhibits, educational programs, tours, and demonstrations.
