Alchimia gallery is pleased to present a photographic exhibition of the artist Franco Donaggio called Silences, namely a homage to Maine as the title suggests!
The body of work, majestic in its purity, was carried out on the
occasion of the bicentenary of the constitution of the state of
Maine, and specifically requested by Casa Alchimia’s owners.
Grateful for the territory of adoption, the Bonacinis have asked the
author - well-known for his poetics and creativity - to interpret
the spirit of their place of election.
Donaggio, who participates with prestigious works included in
the private collection of Bonacinis, has taken up the challenge.
He will show photographic stories ranging from romantic splendors
to the unquestioned seduction of a pure land.
Virgin places where time is beaten by silences and seems to
move slowly at a rhythm dictated by the soft whispers of nature.
And if it is true that there is no such thing as absolute silence,
yet for the artist it is important not to stop searching for it, the
unrealizable dream of a deep peace from which to draw energy
and then continue to explore and see somewhere else.
