Maine Police Find SUV Involved in 100 mph Chase

DURHAM, Maine - Police say they have found the sport utility vehicle involved in a 100 mph police chase in Durham last week.

Police said Monday they located the purple SUV behind a home in Durham. Driver Wayne King faces charges of aggravated driving with a suspended license and eluding a police officer. Police arrested the 35-year-old last week on unrelated charges in an apartment house in Lewiston.

A spokeswoman for Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset says King is in custody. Police say King sped through a construction zone, forced other drivers off the road, and almost hit two construction workers.
