Portland Assistant Police Chief Vernon Malloch briefs the press on Monday's fatal shooting in Portland Old Port.

PORTLAND, Maine - Portland police have confirmed that one man is dead following a shooting at a recording studio in the Old Port Monday night. At a press conference this afternoon, Assistant Chief Vern Malloch named the victim as 19-year-old Treyjohn Arsenault, of Scarborough.

Malloch says a 20-year-old Portland man was also shot at the incident at Da Block Studios, but is expected to recover. Police have not released his identity. "Our initial investigation suggests that there may be more than one shooter involved in this incident," Malloch said.

Malloch says police have yet to find a motive for the shootings, and he encourages other witnesses to come forward. No arrests have been made.
