Lewiston Nursing Home Won't Allow Outside Visitors In Facility Due To Coronavirus Concerns
The d'Youville Pavilion nursing home in Lewiston will no longer allow outside visitors into the facility because of concerns about the coronavirus.
Maine doesn't have any confirmed cases of the disease caused by the virus, but the president of the 210-bed nursing home says preventative measures are necessary to keep residents and staff safe.
In a letter posted on d'Youville Pavilion's website, President Philip Hickey says residents from medical facilities will still be admitted if they pass screening for the new coronavirus. Staff will also be screened on a daily basis.
