Maine’s entire congressional delegation has sent a letter to U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, urging his department to communicate with states and be transparent about the new vaccine.
The lawmakers write in their letter that it’s imperative that Azar be transparent about vaccine allotments and what states can actually expect.
They go on to say that the department changed its projections on the number of doses that states could expect without any explanation for the change, and which led to public confusion in Maine.
They’re also asking for better information on vaccine allocation methodologies.
