The Maine CDC is reporting 848 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths on Saturday

In the past seven days, an average of 673 COVID-19 cases have been added in Maine per day — the highest level at any point during the pandemic.

That's after the Maine CDC added 848 new cases of the disease on Saturday, and three deaths.

Two hundred and seventy-eight people were hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Friday. Eighty-one were in critical care and 32 are on ventilators.
