12 more people have died and 980 new COVID cases reported in Maine since Saturday

Maine is reporting 980 new coronavirus cases since the end of last week.

That includes data from Monday, Sunday and Saturday. The seven-day average of new cases is now 634.

The state CDC says 12 more people have died with the disease.

Hospitalizations have yet again hit a record high, with 367 people receiving inpatient care. The number in critical care has dipped slightly to 110, as has the number on ventilators, now at 59.
