5 more Mainers die and 1,462 new coronavirus cases reported on Wednesday

Maine is reporting 1,462 new cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday. That brings the seven-day average of new cases to 934.

The state CDC is reporting five additional deaths of people with COVID-19.

COVID-19 hospitalizations in the state have dipped slightly from yesterday's record 387. Currently 375 people are hospitalized. One-hundred twenty four are in critical care and 60 are on ventilators.
