This spring we asked our audience – you! – to help us design the ultimate Maine Adventure Guide! We asked for your suggestions for the best places to be and things to do in Maine in the Summer. And you responded in droves!

This June we will release the results in a fun guide curated around these categories:

• Perfect Paddleboard and Kayak Waterways
• Coolest Campgrounds for a Week with the Family
• Top Rigorous Hikes and Backpacking Routes
• Best Bouldering and Belaying, Indoors and Outdoors
• Premiere Picnic Spots with a View
• Unbeatable Beach-Side Bars and Restaurants
• Remarkable Bike Trails
  

"The Insider’s Guide to Maine Adventure" will be available for free at every Maine Public Studio, Maine Turnpike Service Plaza, and Maine Office of Tourism Center from mid-June until the Common Ground Fair in September.
We’ve also included a little additional bit of fun in the Insider’s Guide experience! Snap a selfie at any of our Insider’s Guide recommended stops, tag @mainepublic on your Instagram or Facebook post (public setting), and include #MainePublicFun in the caption and you’ll be entered into a drawing for the chance to win one of ten amazing Maine Public Sea Bag and Beach blanket combos or the grand prize of an L.L.Bean stand-up paddle board! The more photos and posts you make, the more entries you’ll have in the drawing. (Not a social media participant? No problem!
