AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) _ Thirteen people are searching for new homes after an Augusta, Maine fire displaced them.
The State Street fire displaced four families on Tuesday night. Authorities are still investigating the fire and assessing the damage. A Red Cross spokesman says the fire took place in a five-unit apartment building that is currently uninhabitable because of the damage.
The Red Cross spokesman said the relief agency is providing the displaced families with temporary emergency shelter, clothing, food and support. The agency is also helping the victims find long-term housing.
