Long-Time Maine Weather Forecaster Shares 'Lows' - of the Personal Kind

PORTLAND, Maine - TV forecaster Kevin Mannix tracked Maine weather for a quarter century.  Then, a couple of years ago, he shared with viewers he had also dealt with lows - not the kind on his weather maps, but the more personal kind.

Now retired from full-time weather work, Kevin and his wife, Linda Rota, have completed a new book, "Weathering Shame," that will complement his talks with people all around the state.   Kevin told MPBN Morning Edition host Irwin Gratz that he came to this work reluctantly.

Kevin Mannix continues to do some fill-in weather-casting for WCSH Television.  His new book, "Weathering Shame," is published by Bryson Taylor.
