Police in Maine Still Searching for Homicide Suspect

PARKMAN, Maine - Maine police say they are still in the midst of a manhunt for a fugitive who is a suspect in the killing of his ex-girlfriend.

Police say 38-year-old Robert Burton has not been spotted since he was seen along a Guilford snowmobile trail on Wednesday night. Burton is a suspect in the killing of Stephanie Gebo, who was found in her Parkman home June 5 by her children.

Police say increased patrols in the area will continue this week. They've been focusing the search in the Monson, Guilford and Parkman area. Burton is familiar with woods in the region and is considered armed and dangerous.

Police say Massachusetts and New Hampshire state police who were helping Maine authorities look for Burton have left the area.
