Search Continues for Clues to Teen's Sisappearance in 1986

CANTON, Maine - Maine law enforcement officials are searching for a second day for the remains of a teenager who went missing almost 30 years ago.

State police Sgt. Mark Holmquist said cadaver dogs and their handlers were expanding the scope of their search around the Canton home of Brian Enman, one of the last people to be seen with 17-year-old Kimberly Moreau.

Moreau was a Jay High School student when she went missing in 1986.

Holmquist says searchers used ground-penetrating radar Thursday to search the slab under Enman's mobile home. He said Friday he remained optimistic that authorities would find some clues.

Enman's phone rang unanswered Friday afternoon. But he told the Kennebec Journal that he had no involvement in Moreau's disappearance and said police are "grasping for straws.''
