Search Suspended for Clues in 1986 Disappearance of Girl

CANTON, Maine - The father of a teenage girl who went missing nearly 30 years ago in Maine says he remains confident that police are going to solve the mystery.

State police said they will meet this week to determine the next step after four days of searches around Canton property owned by Brian Enman, one of the last people to see 17-year-old Kimberly Moreau alive. Sgt. Mark Holmquist said cadaver dogs gave several indications of remains and investigators plan to return "in the near future.''

Richard Moreau said investigators are looking for a "needle in a haystack,'' but he thinks they're getting closer to finding his daughter. Police say she disappeared on May 10, 1986, after going out with a group that included Enman.

Enman has denied any involvement in her disappearance.
