UMaine Researchers Discuss $2 Million Minecraft Grant

ORONO, Maine — Researchers at UMaine have won a $2 million National Science Foundation grant to study how the computer game Minecraft might be used teach math and science skills in rural Maine schools.

Keith Shortall spoke with Bruce Segee, Ami Gaspar and Craig Mason about the three-year study, which Segee says will explore Minecraft's potential for teaching computer programming.
