BANGOR, Maine - A Canadian kayaker has won the Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race for the eighth time in a row. Trevor Mclean has won the 36 mile paddling race from Kenduskeag Village to downtown Bangor a total of 12 times.
McLean finished with a time of 2:14.45.
It was the 50th anniversary of the race, which featured just 34 paddlers when it launched in 1967.
Saturday's race attracted over 500 contestants in a variety of paddle craft.
