GREENVILLE, Maine — Maine State Police say they are investigating the death of a Greenville man who apparently had been involved in a dispute over rental property at the time police were called Saturday night.
State police spokesman Stephen McCausland says the man has been identified as 32-year-old George Woodbury III. He says Woodbury was found to be non-responsive at cabins near Beaver Cove on Saturday night by paramedics responding to a 911 report of a physical altercation in progress.
McCausland said Woodbury never regained consciousness. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Detectives were at the scene Sunday collecting evidence and conducting interviews.
McCausland said the Attorney General’s office will determine if charges will be filed.
