UMaine to Host Science Summit
ORONO, Maine (AP) _ The University of Maine will host a four-day conference about engineering in the fields of agriculture and biology.
The Northeast Agricultural and Biological Engineering Conference will run from July 31 to Aug. 3. The focus of this year's conference is sustainable agriculture and renewable energy.
The conference is in conjunction with the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. It has members in the northeastern United States and eastern Canada.
The event is taking place on the Orono campus. UMaine president Susan Hunter will deliver a welcome speech Aug. 1, and a keynote address will be delivered by Habib Dagher, the executive director of the university's Advanced Structures and Composites Center.
