Maine and Clinton police say three people, all under age 18, were killed, and two others injured, in a crash early Sunday morning in Clinton.
The deceased victims have been identified as 15-year-old Thomas Porfirio, 14-year-old Emily Baker and her 12-year-old sister, Ashland Baker.
In a press release, police said the car hit a patch of ice and skid before striking a large tree. The two who survived the crash are receiving medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Police say speed and driver inexperience were factors in the crash.
