LINCOLN, Maine - The Maine Wardens Service says a 40-year-old woman from Corrinna was killed in an ATV crash in the town of Lincoln. Wardens say Shannon Brewer was was driving a side-by-side ATV at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday when she lost control as she approached a four-way intersection and skidded more than 50 feet before rolling the machine against a tree.
Brewer was pinned between the tree and the ATV. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation, but the wardens say it appears that excessive speed and inexperience played a role in the crash.
