LePage Re-election Team Launches First TV Ad

AUGUSTA, Maine - Republican Gov. Paul LePage's has released his first advertisement in the three-person race for Maine governor.

The ad titled "Our Governor'' that was unveiled Monday features several Mainers, including Democratic and independent voters, highlighting LePage's first-term accomplishments, like paying off a $400 million debt owed to Maine hospitals and enforcing one of the largest environmental fines in the state's history.

With less than two months until Election Day, political ads are taking over the airwaves.

The Republican Governors Association, which has pledged to spend millions of dollars in Maine to help LePage win a second term, has released three TV ads supporting him.

LePage's opponents, Democrat Mike Michaud and independent Eliot Cutler, also already have several ads on TV.
