LePage Nominates 3 for Judicial Appointments

PORTLAND, Maine - Maine Gov. Paul LePage has nominated his chief legal counsel and two other attorneys to serve on the Maine District Court bench.

Cynthia Montgomery, a Texas native, has served as the governor's chief legal counsel since February. Also nominated were Charles Budd Jr., a partner at Rudman Winchell in Bangor, and Thomas Nale Sr., of Nale & Nale Law Offices in Waterville.

LePage announced his nominations Tuesday.

All judicial nominations must be vetted by the Maine Legislature's Judiciary Committee and confirmed by the full Senate.
