Seven more people have died with COVID-19 in Maine.

That's according to the Maine CDC, which also added 414 cases of the disease to the state's total on Saturday.

In all, 15,620 Mainers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and 257 have died.

As of Friday morning, 182 people were hospitalized, with 50 in critical care and 16 on ventilators.

Maine's COVID-19 surge prompted Gov. Janet Mills to strengthen masking requirements on Friday, directing businesses to eject customers who won't wear one.
