WATERVILLE, Maine - An actor known for his collaboration with director Robert Altman is going to be in Maine this week for an award.
Michael Murphy is being presented with the Mid-Life Achievement Award Thursday at the Maine International Film Festival.
The Los Angeles native is known for playing villainous characters including business executives and politicians. His relationship with Altman dates to 1970 when he played Captain Marston in the original M*A*S*H movie.
Past recipients of the Mid-Life Achievement Award include Ed Harris, Peter Fonda and Sissy Spacek. The event continues through this weekend at the Waterville Opera House.
