Ebola Nurse Moving to Southern Maine

FORT KENT, Maine - A nurse who battled quarantines in New Jersey and Maine says she's going to stay in southern Maine while she decides what to do next with her life.

Monday marked the 21st day since Kaci Hickox's last exposure to an Ebola patient. On Tuesday, she'll be freed from daily monitoring and can get on with her life.

Hickox said she and her boyfriend are leaving northern Maine because he's no longer enrolled at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, where they were disappointed with the way he was treated.

She says that for now, they intend to spend time in southern Maine while sorting out their next move. She said she's considering returning to college, and that she'd also return to West Africa "in a heartbeat."
