House Passes PFAS Bill Sponsored By Maine Representatives

The U.S. House has passeda bill sponsored by Maine’s two House members that would regulate PFAS, a group of forever chemicals that have been linked to health issues such as cancer.

The PFAS Action Act would designate the chemicals as hazardous, require the Environmental Protection Agency to develop drinking water regulations, and expand the EPA's 'Safer Choice' label to household products that don't contain PFAS.
