The University of New England recently hosted a talk by Ted Gup, former Washington Post journalist and author of A Secret Gift: How One Man’s Kindness—and a Trove of Letters—Revealed the Hidden History of the Great Depression.
He is a former investigative reporter for The Washington Post working under Bob Woodward. He later wrote for Time magazine covering Congress and the environment, and serving as Washington investigative correspondent. Since 2009, he has been professor and chair of the journalism department at Emerson College in Boston.
