As a precaution to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, beach attendant Danielle McClure takes the temperature of Colten Ryan before allowing him and his brother, Finn, left, to enter Maranacook Beach, Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020, in Winthrop, Maine.

Twelve more cases of COVID-19 and one new death were included in data made available on the Maine CDC website Saturday.

A total of 4,026 people have been diagnosed with the disease in the state. Of those, 3,504 people have recovered and 125 people have died, leaving 397 active cases.

Nine people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, four of whom are in critical care. None are on ventilators.

In a press release, the Maine CDC says the person who died was a man in his 80s from Androscoggin County.
