Maine CDC Reports 28 New Cases Of COVID-19

The Maine Center for Disease Control is reporting an additional 28 cases of COVID-19, bringing the state's cumulative total to 5,288 since the pandemic began.. There are now 581 active cases of the disease in the state.

No new deaths were reported Sunday. That number stands at 140.

Eight people with the disease are currently being hospitalized, according to the center. One of those individuals is in critical care.

The next Maine CDC briefing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 2020.
