Maine CDC's Public Health Alerts Are Going Online

The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention is putting its public health alerts online.

The agency says it will make public health alerts available on the Maine CDC website to make sure the public can easily access them. The first alert of 2019 announced that influenza has officially reached widespread levels in Maine.

The Maine CDC says it issues the health advisories to medical care providers, health care entities, child care facilities and others. It says the alerts can also be of use to members of the general public who desire to know more about the specific details of a public health issue.
