Maine Game Wardens Urge ATV Riders To Wear Helmets

Maine game wardens are urging ATV riders to wear protective headgear and maintain safe speeds after several ATV crashes Thursday, in which some riders were injured.

In a press release, warden spokesperson Corporal John MacDonald says that as a result of an ATV crash Thursday afternoon in Caribou, two 14-year- olds and a 4-year-old were injured. MacDonald says that the 4-year-old sustained a forehead laceration.

None of the riders was wearing a helmet.
