Another Mainer with COVID-19 has died, bringing the death tally to 134 since the pandemic hit the state. That's according to new figures the Maine Center for Disease Control posted Friday.CDC spokesman Robert Long says in an email that the person who died was a woman in her 80s from Somerset County.  Long says three deaths have now been associated with a wedding and reception in Millinocket August 7, though it's not clear whether the Somerset County death reported Friday is among those three.

Officials say Maine has now racked up a total of 4,632 cases of the coronavirus, a net increase of 15 since Thursday. The increase includes 19 new cases diagnosed overnight, minus some previously reported cases that turned out to be negative.

Long says the number of cases in two ongoing outbreaks in York County remain unchanged, with 72 cases among staff and inmates in the building in Alfred that houses the York County Jail, and 10 cases associated with the Calvary Baptist Church in Sanford.

The outbreaks have prompted state officials to reclassify schools in York County from "green" to "yellow" for reopening. The yellow designation means there's an elevated risk of COVID-19 and schools should consider modifying plans for in-person classes.

Meanwhile, Long says the number of cases at the Maplecrest Rehabilitation and Living Center in Madison is now up to 19, including eight residents and 11 staff members. The Maplecrest outbreak, and the outbreak at the York County Jail, are both linked to a wedding and reception August 7 in Millinocket, which Long says is now associated with a total of 147 cases and three deaths.

A total of 4,006 Mainers have recovered from the virus, an increase of 18 since Thursday. That leaves 492 active cases that the state is currently tracking, a net drop of four overnight.

The number of people who have had to be hospitalized at some point during their illness now stands at 423. That's one fewer than Thursday, but the reason for the drop is not clear.

As of Friday, nine Mainers were hospitalized, five of them in intensive care. Two people are on ventilators.

The Maine CDC's next coronavirus briefing is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8.
