Norway Man Indicted on Charge That He Stole Dog

PARIS, Maine — A grand jury has indicted a Norway man on charges that he broke into a Hebron home and stole the family dog as well as several electronic items.

Timothy Scott Robbins faces felony burglary and theft charges.

Authorities say the 27-year-old Robbins broke into the home on March 21 and stole two laptops, two iPads, three digital cameras, an Xbox gaming system and 35 to 40 games, jewelry and the family's 2-year-old golden retriever.

The Sun Journal reportsthat the dog was returned several days later after a social media campaign prompted a man to call the family to say he had the pet.

Robbins faces up to 10 years in prison on the burglary charge and five for theft. It's not clear if he has a lawyer.
