Police Say Student Medications Stolen From Maine School

Police and school officials in Maine say student medications were stolen from a Rockland elementary school during a break-in. Rockland Police detective Alex Gaylor says police are still in the early stages of the investigation into the break-in at the South School that was reported Saturday morning.

He tells the Bangor Daily News the medications appear to be the only thing stolen.

School superintendent John MacDonald says medications were stolen from the school during another break-in two years ago.

The medications were taken from the nurse's office.

A post on the school's Facebook page says parents of students whose medications were kept at the school "should make arrangements to replace them."

The school serves children in grades kindergarten through grade 5. It will be closed Monday for repairs.
