Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, speaks amid a crush of reporters after Republicans released their long-awaited bill to scuttle much of President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act, at the Capitol in Washington, Thursday, June 22, 2017.";

Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins says she has concerns over the Republican health bills that have been put forward. Speaking on MSNBC Thursday, Collins says there are several areas that are not acceptable.

"I cannot support a bill that is going to result in tens of millions of people losing their health insurance and I cannot support a bill that's going to make such deep cuts to Medicaid that it's going to shift billions of dollars in costs," she said.

Collins said under the House bill, some lower-income, older Americans could see their premium costs skyrocket by 800%. She's also concerned that the Senate bill will hike up premium costs. She funding for Planned Parenthood to continue as well.

Collins says many amendments are likely to be proposed, and she's waiting to get a better understanding of the bill's impacts from a Congressional Budget Office analysis, expected sometime next week.
