Snowshoes

Today's poem is Snowshoes by Nick Fuller Googins. It is read by Arisa White.

Snowshoes

In January,
I drop my antlers.
I am now considered
well-adapted for life
on the edge,
brittle like the end
of a dead stick.
I shed the velvet
to protect myself.
You should see me
in the snow.
