Snowstorm Leads To Tricky Commute; Plunging Temps On Way

A morning snowstorm has made for slick roads and a slow morning commute in parts of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. The heaviest snow was falling in southwest Maine. The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for the area, with 6 to 9 inches of snow expected.

Some accidents were reported, with no immediate word of injuries. Highway speed limits were lowered to 45 mph.

Two separate tractor trailer crashes were reported Thursday morning in Vermont, closing a section of road in Sharon and reducing Interstate 91 north to one lane in Springfield.

The storm was expected to move out of the area by Thursday afternoon.
