Trump Administration Lifts Tariff On Aluminum Imported From Canada

The Trump administration has lifted a 10% tariff on aluminum imported from Canada.

U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree of Maine’s 1st District says the move comes after Democratic U.S. Representatives from Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont wrote to President Donald Trump supporting a request from the governors of the three states to lift the tariffs.

In a joint statement, the lawmakers say, "This is an important victory for our regional economy and for the continued close cooperation with Canada."
